5 DIY ice cube recipes


1. Rice water

– Rice water is an important ingredient in Japanese skin care products. It contains antioxidants, starches, and proteins that help in healing and lightening the skin.

– Make these ice cubes when you have rice for lunch. Rinse the rice thoroughly to remove the impurities, then place the rice and double the amount of filtered water in a bowl and leave covered for 2-3 hours.

– Freeze the fermented water and use the ice all over your face until it melts. Don’t wipe your face, let it air dry so the effects last longer.

2. Frozen cucumbers

– Cucumbers are naturally soothing to your skin and contain vitamin C and caffeic acid that help reduce inflamed skin and keep skin hydrated overall.

– Puree a cucumber, then add a few drops of lemon juice and 1 teaspoon of honey and simply pour the mixture into the ice cube tray and freeze.

– Rub the ice cube gently over your face and neck and wipe off the juice with lukewarm water after 15 minutes.

3. Aloe Vera cubes

– It’s rich in antioxidants and contains cooling properties that can help reduce dark spots, moisturize and hydrate the skin, and treat sunburns.

– Crush 10-15 basil leaves and a cup of water into a paste. Then add 2 tablespoons of natural aloe vera gel and mix with the basil paste.

– Freeze the mixture in an ice cube tray and, when ready to use, gently rub the ice in circular motions until it melts.

4. Ice milk

– Milk has numerous benefits, especially for your skin. It acts as a skin toner and moisturizer, hides fine lines and wrinkles and heals acne scars.

– Simply pour ¾ cup of milk and ¼ cup of water into an ice cube tray after mixing them well.

– Rub the milk cube gently and evenly over your face and neck and leave for 30 minutes. Wash it off with cold water.

5. Diced rose hip and cinnamon

– Cinnamon helps reduce fine lines by plumping up the skin, and rose hips contain vitamins C and E that help reduce skin inflammation and lighten the skin.

– Mix 1 cinnamon stick cut into small pieces with 2 tablespoons of rose hip in 2 cups of water. Boil the water and ingredients until they turn brown-orange in color.

– Once the water has cooled, freeze it and then apply the ice cube.
