Muscat: NMC Healthcare Oman, one of the largest health groups in Oman in collaboration with the Ministry of Health, is well positioned for a mass vaccination campaign against COVID-19.

Dr. Deep Makkar, General Manager of NMC Healthcare, said: “NMC Healthcare Oman is ready for a mass vaccination campaign against Covid-19 with regulatory approval. According to the Ministry of Health, Oman’s mass vaccination campaign against COVID-19 is set to be in full swing from the early week of June following the planned arrival of 1.25 million doses of the vaccine in a month, with the first delivery of 205,000 doses already in last week Oman and it is expected that around 200,000 doses of the vaccine will be received every week. ”

Dr. Deep continued: “We want to contribute to the vaccination campaign in Oman. The health of the general public is very important to us.

“So we created a safe environment in the NMC hospitals as all of the NMC medical staff – doctors and nurses – have vaccinated the first dose of the vaccine and are offering a vaccination to the people of Oman.

“We thank the Ministry of Health for giving priority to privately licensed health workers for COVID vaccination, and thanks to them, all target groups in Oman would be vaccinated very soon.

“We at NMC Oman are pleased and proud to announce that NMC, in collaboration with the Panorama Mall, has created a mass vaccination center near the NMC Specialty Hospital Ghoubra.

The whole idea of the mass vaccination center is to create a safer environment with easy access and the Panorama Mall was the right choice as people had little fear of going to the hospital for vaccination. We thank the management of Panorama Mall for understanding the safety and wellbeing of people and making it a priority as the people who come to be vaccinated are healthy people.

The NMC COVID vaccination center in the Panorama Mall was opened on June 10, 2021 under the patronage of Dr. Mazin Al Khabouri, Director General for Private Health, MOH, inaugurated.

Dr. Mazin thanked NMC Healthcare for providing such an efficient and safe environment for vaccination.

He also appealed to the public to register with MOH or private hospitals for the COVID vaccination and to get themselves and their family members vaccinated as soon as possible according to the guidelines of the Ministry of Health.

“We thank all companies / firms that trust NMC Healthcare to vaccinate their employees, and it is our duty to ensure that we create a better than expected environment for safer vaccination.”

The service will be available seven days a week from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. The vaccination center in the Panorama Mall has a capacity for up to 1,000+ vaccinations daily.

The infrastructure is in place and our medical team is prepared for the vaccination. Vaccination guests can experience sufficient parking spaces during their visit to the Panorama Mall and also plan shopping. We expect a good vaccination frequency as many companies want safer and more spacious accommodations for their employees to be vaccinated.
