Austin, Texas – (BUSINESS WIRE) – Satellite Healthcare announced today that it will be participating in an ongoing clinical trial sponsored by DEKA Research & Development Corp. (DEKA) is sponsored. The study examines the clinical use of the HemoCare® hemodialysis system, a new home hemodialysis machine developed by DEKA with the aim of making hemodialysis easier and safer to perform overnight.

The study, conducted with study partner CVS Kidney Care, will evaluate the safety and performance of the HemoCare hemodialysis system. Eligible patients and their care partners are trained on the device at home and switched to home hemodialysis overnight. The study is designed to collect and analyze all adverse safety events and routine laboratory tests that measure the effectiveness of the dialysis performed by the device.
